Understanding fairways and GIR

Track fairways hit and greens in regulation the right way.

Fairways and greens in regulation

Putty tracks fairways hit (FIR) and greens in regulation (GIR) so you can see where strokes come from.

Fairways

Marked on par 4s and par 5s. Par 3s do not count toward fairway percentage.

GIR

A green in regulation means you reached the putting surface in regulation strokes (par minus 2). Track this each hole for a clearer picture than score alone.

Tips

Mark FIR/GIR as you play. Incomplete marks make percentages look better or worse than reality.
